How far away is the beach?
The closest beaches are Eagle Beach and Palm Beach. You can actually see both from the rear of the house, but they are a short 5 minute drive away.

How do I arrange for spa services?
Marileen is your personal concierge. Her phone number is 011-297-592-8008. Please also see the spa menu. It is best to make arrangements with Marileen prior to your arrival to guarantee what services you may request. Marileen’s email is marileen.tromp@gmail.com.

I recommend the 90 minute couples massage followed up by a pedicure. Marileen can also make other arrangements for you including dinner reservations, sailboat trips, diving, anything you may need.

How do I get to Villa Tropical?
The address is Boegoeroei 33C (pronounced boo-goo-roo-i). From the stoplight at Noord at the police station take the road to downtown. You will pass a church and cemetery on your left. On your right you will see “Direct TV’s” office. Turn right on the road just past Direct TV. You will pass Fung Lam Market on the right. Just continue on up this road and on top of the hill you will run right into the house. [click here for a map]

Can we pick the fruit from the trees?
Yes, you may take as much as you can use. Raphael can help you with the coconuts with his machete. He also makes a tasty lemonade.

What is your cancellation policy?
All rentals are pre-paid and non-refundable. It is recommended that if there is a reason to be concerned that travelers insurance be purchased. It is a cheap option to take the gamble out of the deal.

How do we make a reservation? How does it all work?
Generally you will have a conversation with the owner Kurt Hansmeier (907-227-3439). Most people pay with credit card and Visa or Mastercard are accepted. Before you move in a $1000.00 security deposit will be obtained and this can be via credit card in the form of a “hold”, much like at a hotel. Then at the end of your stay you can also pay of any spa services or
chef services if applicable.
